After my first ceremony, I released grief I had been carrying since childhood. I walked in heavy. I walked out lighter than I have felt in twenty years. The container Temple Mother Earth holds is unlike anything I have experienced.

The Sanctuary
Bring your circle home.
A private house in Southeast DC where your circle can breathe, rest, and do its work. Gather up to 25, stay overnight up to 13, and rest beside four acres of DC parkland.

The Sanctuary, Washington DC
You lead circles. This house holds them.
You are the one who sets the mat out, who dims the light, who watches the breath drop and the shoulders let go. You are the one who holds the space so others can fall apart and come back whole. This house was made for that work of yours.
In 2020, when the world closed its doors, we opened ours. Not for noise. For quiet. For the long exhale of a city learning to breathe again. The candles stayed lit, the altar stood ready, and a home in Southeast DC held circle after circle of people doing the bravest work there is: showing up for themselves.
Now it is your turn to walk in. Four acres of parkland breathe behind the fence. Morning light fills the rooms. A fire waits to be lit. You bring your circle and your intention; the rest, this house will hold for you.
Some places rent you a room. This place holds your work.

Inside the sanctuary

The space
A house built for presence
Step through the entrance into a home designed around one thing: presence. The ceremony space sits at the heart of the property, with stairs that feel like a ritual in themselves, a landing altar for offerings and intention, and room for a circle of people.
The yoga lounge is bright and quiet, with room for a full practice or a slow morning sit. The dining lounge gathers everyone around one table, and the kitchen is equipped to cook for the whole circle.
When the day unwinds, the house sleeps up to thirteen guests across beds, in configurations that flex to fit your group. Every space is finished with care, calm, and a feeling of being held.

A space that flexes with you
Every room, your canvas
Every room in the sanctuary is modular. Push everything into the closets and the whole house becomes one open canvas, ready for a circle, a ceremony, or a dance. Pull it all out and it is fully furnished for a weekend of gathering, rest, and creation.
The layout changes shape with your group. Bring your own mats, your own chairs, your own intention, and the space makes room. That is the sanctuary: a home that holds whatever you are here to do.

Reviews
Voices from the space
I came in skeptical, expecting nothing. I left in tears, finally understanding what it means to feel held by community. I now attend every month.
I had tried everything. Talk therapy, medication, meditation. This gave me back something I did not know I had lost, my sense of belonging on this earth.
I learned how to slow down. Years of burnout dissolved over the course of one afternoon. I left with a stillness I now carry into every part of my life.

Tended daily
Every day the sanctuary is tended: the altar reset, the floors swept, the wood laid, the space held ready for whoever arrives next. Today is no different. You are invited into that held space.

A place to gather, rest, and create
The sanctuary is made to be shared. If you know someone who needs a sacred space for their circle, ceremony, or retreat, send them here.
Rent the whole sanctuary. Sleep 13, gather 25, and leave your footprint on the land, not a checklist.
A private house beside four acres of DC parkland, with a kitchen, a ceremony space, and a fire pit.
We don't gamify ratings. We hold space. The reviews come when the gathering does.
The bed count is for rest. The real number is the circle you can hold by day, up to 25 in the ceremony space.
The dining lounge gathers everyone around one table, and the kitchen cooks for the whole circle.
The parkland is public and separate. The peace it brings, however, is fully yours.
